I couldn't figure out why my blog wasn't working properly and why it wouldn't put a thumbnail on facebook any more when I posted a link and now I know!! The template I used was outdated! So I picked a new one that I will use for now while I think about this further. So this is why the change:) I still have some tweeking to do but at least I have figured out what my problem is.
